Addendum: Amendment to Documents: Tenders are hereby invited for special voting bags. Specifications: - Special voting ballot bags (PVC): UoM: Each, Quantity: 15000, Colour: Blue, Dimensions: 30cm (W) X 15cm (B) X 50cm (H); - The bag must be made from PVC and must be supplied in a collapsible form; - The PVC bag must be robust with a shelf life of not less than eight (8) years. It must be able to carry an internal load of at least 5kg, without tearing when lifted and carried for repeated use; - All PVC bag joints must be stitched or secured by a similar method; - The PVC bag must be completely waterproof including the stiches to prevent water from seeping through and damaging the contents thereof; - The PVC bag must have carrying handles. The bag must be of rectangular dimensions; - The PVC bag must have a lockable zip (where-in a “cable tie”/seal may be used to lock the contents) around the bag to allow for the emptying of the bag after voting has been completed; - The PVC bag must be of a size capable of holding at least two hundred and fifty (250) B5 envelopes; - Sealing methods must make use of polypropylene pull-through seals – “cable tie” style 230mm long x 8mm wide (note: these seals are procured separately by the Electoral Commission and are not part of the PVC bag bid); - The bag should have a locking mechanism to be used with the polypropylene seal to seal the bag; - The top part of the bag, base (must be made with a hard material) and sides of the bag must form a sealed compartment, in such a manner that objects cannot be inserted or removed from the bag when the zip is closed; - The PVC bag must have a zip-sealed rectangular slot (approximately 20cm x 2cm) with a tolerance not exceeding 1cm in the top face (the lid), where a B5 envelope can be deposited; - The zip-sealed rectangular slot must be in such a manner that no ballots or other objects can be removed from the PVC bag (except via the deposit slot). The contract for the supply and delivery of the special voting ballot bags – PVC as per the bid is an ‘once off’ requirement.
