Bids are hereby invited for the appointment of a service provider for the repair and service of turnstiles at various swimming pools as per specifications on an as and when required basis for up to R750 000 or until 30 June 2026 or whenever a tender is in place, whichever comes first. Specifications: - Item 1 Service turnstile (Labour): 1. Remove top lid to service the turnstile mechanism, 2. Remove 36 m 10 bolts to loosen mechanism. Disconnect all solenoid wires and limit switch wires. Remove mechanism, 3. Check damper rubbers for cracks or wear and if necessary, replace, 4. Clean all steel parts with thinners to remove old sticky grease, 5. Check centering device and springs for wear, 6. Check return springs on solenoid left and right to ensure proper functioning, 7. Clean solenoid sleeves with thinners, 8. After all parts are cleaned and checked, re-assemble mechanism, 9. Check and test the tension at all locking pins, 10. Lubricate rotor, locking pins, centering device and springs, 11. After mechanism is assembled and all necessary spares replaced, refit mechanism, 12. Reconnect solenoid and limit switch wires, 13. Trigger turnstile and test to ensure that limit switch overrides are functioning properly. Test turnstile trigger at least 5 times in both directions, 14. Place turnstile top lid back in position. Item 2: Turnstile parts: 1. 24 volt solenoid, 2. 24 volt power supply, 3. Micro switches, 4. Turnstile locks, 5. Rubber coupling, 6. UCF 206 bearing, 7. Damper rubbers, 8.
