Re-Advertisement: Quotations are hereby invited for the following: CK & GR Electricity Project 2023: Botrivier: Restoration and rehabilitation - Professional civil engineer specializing in hydrological and hydraulic engineering. Scope of Works: - Communicate and arrange entrance with affected farmers and local WCDoA Submit a method statement and timeline for the approach in dealing with the problem as discussed in the objectives; - Botriver catchment including the Jakkals River area adjacent to the cultivated agricultural lands; - Catchment area start from Porcupine Hills farm going downstream and ending approximately at N2 Bridge, including the Jakkals River; - The development of a comprehensive manual for river rehabilitation in South Africa for the standard for type of remediation as suitable removal by erosion, leading to additional issues. Objectives: - To produce a temporary short-term solution; - To reduce sediment loss for the catchment; - Reduce erosion of the riverbanks in the catchment; - To alleviate sedimentation problems at the N2 bridge. The works is to provide advice and plans to the farming community on what to do with the sediment and other obstacles that was displaced during the 2023 flood events and how to do rehabilitation on the riverbanks. The river systems will also need to be analyzed to provide solutions. The completion period of this service is (Eight) 8 calendar weeks starting from the day of appointment.
