Tenders are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of a service provider for the underwriting of the municipality’s group life portfolio from date of appointment until 30 June 2027. Specifications: Tenders must be presented on the following basis: 1. A short description of the broker and their services; 2. Compulsory death and disability insurance cover of 2.5 x of his/her annual salary; 3. Voluntary death and disability insurance cover of up to 2.5 x of his/her annual salary; 4. Dreaded diseases cover (definition to be confirmed); 5. Voluntary spouse’s cover (death only) of 1 x of his/her annual salary; 6. Voluntary spouse’s cover (death only) of 2 x of his/her annual salary; 7. Normal retirement age: 65 years for all members; 8. Disability covers to be quoted on instalment disability basis only; 9. Conditions of underwriting of compulsory and voluntary cover that includes the following: - Pre-existing conditions clause; - Maximum cover applicable to disability; - Definition of disability; - Free cover limit; - Excluding: death, disability and spouse; - Reduction in disability benefits; - Conversion option; - Medical requirements for increase in voluntary cover; - Maximum spouse’s cover; - No waiting period on risk cover; - Risk cover for disability stemming from period of previous insurer must be covered from date of agreement; 10.
