Expressions of Interest (EOI) are hereby invited from suitable service providers within the signature management domain, to conduct research in partnership with the CSIR. Scope of work: Task: The applicant must write a test plan, giving an overview of the planning and execution of such an analysis (Including calculations and/or simulations if applicable). Conduct the experiment and compile a test report (test report can be included in the test plan document). Report contents must include: Below are minimum requirements for contents of the report: • List of equipment and tools used (including software packages if applicable), • Camera specifications, • Test setup (including calculations if applicable), • Detailed description of the terrain, • Provide a brief background study on polyester material, • Clearly define the thermal reference source (the blackbody), • Test procedure, • Describe the measurements and data reduction and analysis technique used, • Recommendations (this could be future recommended research). This is an expression of interest with the aim of developing the South African Defence industry. This program will run for a period of three financial years (2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25), with the option of extending the program by a financial year (2025/26).
