Formal written price quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of professional services for an environmental assessment practitioner for the Caledon: Riemvasmaak Upgrading of Informal Settlement Programme Project (UISP) – until 30 June 2023. Specifications: 1. Provide input on the draft layout plan x 1; 2. Facilitation, completion and conducting the Environmental Impact Assessment Process (Appropriate Application Process based on scope of works) including the required Public Participation Periods (at least two per application) in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) 107 of 1998 and Environmental Programme in line with the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations 2014 (as amended), including notifying the registered I&APs of the outcome of the assessment process (Department’s Decision) x 1; 3. Handling all possible appeals submitted against any decision with regards to the relevant applications x 1; 4. Conduct Botanical Specialist Study in terms of the National Environmental Biodiversity Act (NEMBA) x 1; 5. Obtain Water Use License Authorisation (WULA) in terms of the National Water Act (NWA) if necessary x 1; 6. Conduct Heritage Assessment in line with Heritage Western Cape Legislation if necessary x 1; 7.
