Scope: The scope of work for the provision of these services includes the following: - Conducting Investigations, chairing of hearings (misconduct and grievances); - Participating in SALGA’s appeals committee; - Represent SALGA at CCMA, labour court, and labour appeal court; - Handle negotiations and consultations on behalf of SALGA when required; - Audit SALGA policies and procedures and provide guidance; - Provide access to user licenses to labour law websites; - Handle labour court reviews and interdicts; - Legal correspondence; - Provide legal cover and damage cover where matters have been lost; - Provide training to staff; - 24-hour telephonic labour law assistance and help line; - Strike Handling; - Handling of Section 189 retrenchments.
