Information, Advice and Guidance Services in North Yorkshire.
Information, Advice and Guidance Services in North Yorkshire comprise of 2 distinct service areas:
— Information and Advice Service — the provision of holistic information and advice service which shall be available to the general population across North Yorkshire;
— Welfare Rights Information and Guidance Service — the provision of advice and publications, training and information to front line Advisors in North Yorkshire.
Information and Advice Service
To deliver a high quality, county wide Information and Advice Service to the residents of North Yorkshire.
Option to extend for a further period of up to 2 years following the initial 5 year term.
Welfare Benefits Advice and Guidance Service
The provision of an effective, high quality, value for money, county-wide ‘Welfare Rights Information and Guidance Service’.
The Service shall be available to advisors within North Yorkshire, this includes staff from a Local Authority, Information and Advice Services, Housing Association, voluntary sector organisations or any other person within North Yorkshire who as part of their work, or representation of a group, may be required to give advice and information on welfare benefits.
Welfare Rights Information and Guidance Service
Lodging of appeals
North Yorkshire County Council shall in accordance with the Public Contracts (amendment)Regulations 2015, incorporate a minimum 10 day standstill period commencing at the point that information on the intention toward the contract is sent to tenderers.
The Council shall, as soon as possible after the decision has been made, inform the tenderers and candidates of its decision, and shall do so by notice in writing by the most rapid means of communication practicable. The information will include:
a) The criteria for the award of the contract;
b) The reasons for the decision;
c) The name of the economic operator to be awarded;
d) A precise statement when the standstill period is expected to end.
