Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of the service provider for the repairs and upgrading of lifts at annex building in Church Square, Pretoria. Service requirements: a) New Controller - including door zone light that works from battery. b) Shaft information - new shaft information required. New shaft harness. c) Overloads need to be fitted and working. Test will be done with consultant present. d) New encoder on main motor. e) Main motor and gearbox – Retain, sonar test (Schindler 3-point bearing system). f) Main brake - retain but ensure new controller voltage can accommodate existing. g) Surge protection unit with disconnect contactor. h) Brake release instructions. i) New trailing cable. j) New top of car control box including top of car led light. (According to new standards). k) Shaft lights - New with 60-watt LED spotlight top of shaft. l) Maintenance drive control in pit. m) Alarm button top of car and in pit required. n) New main ropes. o) Retain existing governor rope. p) New curtain of light car door sensor. q) Door drive – Existing, only interface. r) Bottom floor landing door to be able to be opened from the inside as per new standard. s) Emergency battery drive – Not required. On generator – Sequencer unit to be priced for to home one lift at a time and then the stretcher lift needs to remain in service. t) Signalization: • New buttons (micro stroke) car and landing including COP and Landing plates. • Display: New dot matrix including plates on COP and main floor, position height to be paraplegic friendly. • New COP the registration no to be engraved onto COP and LED emergency light. • Arrows and gongs on the rest of landings. For lobbies, main and fire stairwells: h) Re-paint, remove/replace/repair existing ceilings. i) Clean down/remove/replace/repair existing tiled/screeded/granolithic floor finishes. j) Clean down and repair damaged wall tiles. k) Clean down and repaint existing walls. l) Inspect, clean down, repaint/service/repair door and frame, service ironmongery, replace any damaged or missing parts, and leave in complete working order. m) Inspect, replace broken glass, clean down and provide approved blinds to windows. n) Inspect, clean down, re-paint/repair/re-fix balustrades. o) Supply and install two single Class B fire doors, frames and standard ironmongery.
