Addendum: Amendment to closing date. Proposals are hereby requested for the procurement, implementation and support of Enterprise Geospatial Software (eGIS) Software Technology to replace the Enterprise Geospatial Platform and Portal, Desktop GIS and a specialised Remote Sensing Imagery Tool for the client, inclusive of all divisions and current and future subsidiaries, where the implementation includes the configuration of GIS solutions as specified in the BRS for a period of 7 years. Scope of Work: Business Objectives: The objective is to supply an Enterprise GIS system solution and GIS software technologies which includes but not limited to: • The software including licences (Geospatial analysis & advanced remote sensing), • Portal and Platform with capability to be used as a building block for geospatial applications development by the client, • To provide GIS practitioners with the required desktop tools for the GIS data capture, maintenance and data exploration needs to address business needs, and for desktop spatial analysis as part of existing business processes for ad hoc requirements, • To provide the enterprise with a spatial viewing platform for various business areas & various defined access profiles, analysis and web solution to address various identified business requirements based on skills (Viewing, Basic, Intermediate & Advance, Superuser) level, • To provide or build a common framework at the web level so that business applications can be created using the framework and to provide re-usable geospatial information to other business solutions with a GIS component with strong self-serving capabilities, • To consolidate current fragmented web-GIS silos onto a common platform for both front & backend entities, • To provide the continuous latest GIS technology with suitable GIS technology(ies) aligning with 4IR era, • To provide a dynamic system that can adapt to centralised or decentralised infrastructure, • To disseminate spatial data throughout the business (various APIs, WMS, WFS, and Service Oriented Architectures), • To implement various mechanisms for discovering available geospatial data for planning and decision-making this includes indexing, searching & cataloguing, • To have interoperability capability that will enable the seamless integration and consumption of various geospatial data formats with other systems, • To integrate business datasets for data visualisation with other line-of-business systems, • To provide the ability to adhere to open and commercial geospatial data management standards. • Generate geospatial based reports and dashboards as required and specified by the businesses.
